The Review:
Y’all know that I can’t resist an all-ages title. It’s not something I see a lot of in comics, even though I’m sure they’re out there. I will confess though that I also don’t go looking for them. In this case, I was introduced to Malia Mayhem on a livestream that was highlighting various Kickstarters. As soon as I heard all-ages, I was there. I’m so glad that I was! This book is flat out adorable and perfect for kids of…well, all ages. If I had one “complaint,” it’s that the main character is only nine and that seems a bit young to be running a gaming group. That being said, if she has gamer parents, it makes sense. That’s probably editor brain though! It’s something that most people wouldn’t even think twice about and certainly no kid would. In fact, I can’t imagine any child not loving this book. As for me? When is book 2 coming out? I need to know!
Until next week…
