The colony ship Intrepid is falling into a star.<\/p>\n

The ship\u2019s AI has lost control of the engines and core systems. Battling a saboteur who strives to isolate him, his last act is to wake Colonel Tanis Richards from stasis.<\/p>\n

Tanis finds herself alone on a dying ship, unable to contact the AI. She must discover what has happened and save the Intrepid from burning up in the star\u2019s angry red light.<\/p>\n

Even if she is successful, the journey to the colony world of New Eden is just beginning. With decades of travel ahead, she will have to find a path in the darkness.<\/p>\n

\nI read the first book in this series and nearly had a heart attack when it was a cliffhanger. Then, I received this one and I devoured it in one night. Thank goodness it was a quiet night so I could start earlier! I haven’t had near enough sleep lately and this one would have kept me up all night. This book is filled with mystery, action, adventure and yes, even a little bit of romance. Of course, it’s another cliffhanger, but the series is so good (and so outside of my normal genre) that I can forgive it! Fingers crossed that the next part finds my desk soon!<\/p>\n
