Fit it in, and<br \/>\nusing a cup or pitcher, pour water around the edges so there is water 1\/2 &#8211; 3\/4<br \/>\nof the way up the sides of the dish.\u00a0Push it down with your hand if it<br \/>\nstarts to float up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Mangal; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;\"><\/p>\n<p>Take the dish back out. Whip the 5 egg yolks in a medium-sized bowl. Slowly add<br \/>\nthe cream and baking sugar while mixing. Add the vanilla. Pour mixture into the<br \/>\ndish and carefully lower into the stoneware without splashing water into the<br \/>\ndish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Mangal; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Mangal; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">Cover and cook on high for 2-4 hours. Custard should be set with the center still a<br \/>\nbit jiggly. Touch lightly with your finger to check. \u00a0Very carefully remove dish and let cool<br \/>\ncompletely on counter, then chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Mangal; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Mangal; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">Sprinkle the 1\/4 cup of raw sugar evenly over the top of the custard. Move your oven<br \/>\nrack to the top level and broil for 3-10 minutes, checking often.
